Drops on a Penny

Students became scientists on Wednesday as they practiced making hypotheses, collecting data and drawing conclusions during an experiment called "Drops on a Penny".  The purpose of the experiment was to have students think like scientists while examining how many drops of water they could fit onto one side of a penny.  Students later considered if the results would be different if they used the heads side versus the tails side of the penny.  When students completed their experiment they were then allowed to explore with other coins.
