Leaves, witches, and more probability!

Students welcomed Autumn by creating their own leaf creatures and writing stories about them using Leaf Man as their inspiration.  They are currently on display outside the classroom.  Come have a look!

Students extended their understanding of probability by experimenting with a spinner.  They learned how to report probabilities numerically, in addition to using probability vocabulary, such as likely, and certain.

To help get into the Halloween spirit students created their own witch's brews.  These spooky potions helped the students learn to use signal words while giving them a preview of our next writing topic, how to's!
