Reporters- Celia, Amanda, Johnna Topic: Holiday Concert
We went to the holiday concert. The lights were dim. We couldn't wait for it to start. We liked all of the songs. These were some of our favorites: Santa Is The Man, Drumming Of The Elves, a song from The Nutcracker, and Masters In This Hall.
Reporters- Keira, Erin, Mark Topic: Phonics
In phonics we have been working with the letter y. It can make the sounds e and i!
Reporters- Alden, Raymond, Allison Topic: Reading
In reading we worked on sensory images. Sensory images help us remember and understand what we read. This is how we get our sensory images. We use our senses of hearing, smelling, tasting, touching and seeing.
Reporters- Ma'ayan, Thomas, Murphy Topic: Specials
Today in gym we did a game called Man Over Board. It is a game we like to play. The way we play this game is by getting in groups and standing on mats. We put bowling pins around the mats and try to knock them over by throwing balls at them.
Reporters- Jenna, Corbin, Seamus Topic: Social Studies
One day we went to Mrs. Hacket's classroom. Since her rug is a map and we are working on maps we went there. Her rug has labels naming the continents and the oceans so Mr. Hacket covered them with black paper. We had to find the continents in three seconds otherwise we would be out of the game until the next round.
Reporters- Ingerid, Shayla, Alex Topic: Math
We were learning how to add 2 and 3 digit numbers. For 2 digit numbers first we add the tens. Then we add the ones. Then we add the tens and ones together.
Reporters- Kyle, Cole, Jack Topic: Writing
This week we have been trying to get better at small moments. We are working on publishing one now.
