Learning what makes a complete sentence!

Today the students began our unit on complete sentences.  They learned that a complete sentence has four important parts: A capital, a subject, a predicate, and punctuation.  Students then received either a subject or predicate card and moved around the room while the music played.  When the music stopped students had to pair up with another student to make a complete silly sentence.

The students moving about the room in search of subjects and predicates.

A couple of the silly sentences that were created by combining subjects and predicates.
